Submit a case
Send chest auscultation recordings and the patient's history. If the site editor approves them, the recordings become a members-only clinical case, credited to you.
How it works
- Obtain written consent. Use the patient information and consent form. The signed form stays at your institution and is never uploaded to the site.
- Record. Quiet room, no talking, at least 15–20 seconds (3–4 breaths) per point, one file per point. The file must not contain the patient's name.
- Fill in the form. History, examination, diagnosis and how it was confirmed, and what you hear in the recordings.
- Review. The editor listens to the recordings and may ask for corrections. You can follow the status under "My submissions".
Who can submit?
Physicians and other health professionals. Students cannot submit, because the submission requires patient consent and professional responsibility; a supervising physician can submit on their behalf.
Limits for now
- Adult patients only (18 years and over).
- Recordings are used only for teaching, shown to members. They are not used for scientific research or publication.
- Accepted files: WAV, MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG; up to 16 files, each up to 2 minutes.
